Trig Point Challenge

Trig Point Challenge – Raising funds and running miles for Lomond Mountain Rescue Team

In 2019 Jamie and ultra running friends Jenny Allen and Alex Berry completed the Trig Point Challenge to raise money and awareness of vital mountain rescue services and resources.

Jenny Allen who is a member of the Mountain Rescue Team came up with the idea of visiting all 19 'Trig points' in 24 hours and convinced Jamie and Alex into joining her.

The Trig Point Challenge consists of:

  • 60 miles on foot
  • with a total ascent of 16,404ft

They succeeded in raising £2991 for Lomond MRT, which is one of the busiest volunteer rescue teams in Scotland.
