Fiona caught up with Jamie to get her opinion on the Ochil Ultra after her winning 1st female (50 miles) read the Race Report from FionaOutdoors here

Jamie said of the Ochil Ultra "It was a brilliant mix of terrain and it was incredibly well-marked. The marshals were cheery, encouraging and helpful, giving runners overviews of upcoming turns and distances.

“The GPS trackers were exceptional at giving real-time information on runner location, which came in handy at the finish where a monitor was set-up so we could follow the progress of folks still out on the course."

Scottish National Trail – not a race, just an adventure

In this article by Fiona on the Tiso Blog Jamie talks about her favourite trail run.

"Jamie Aarons is a keen ultra distance runner. In only her second attempt at the famous 95-mile West Highland Way Race in 2015, she was the first woman and eighth overall. She has chosen two sections of another long-distance trail, the mighty Scottish National Trail as one of her favourite trail running routes."

Jamie has also taken part in the following adventure/endurance races:

  • ITERA Expedition Adventure Race 2022
  • Ipertrail Italy/Slovenia – Pairs winner (overall) with Carrie Craig
